Senior Lecturer in Trial Conduct Methodology
MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL, UCL Grade 9, Full Time
Salary (inclusive of London allowance): £54,240 - £58,978 per annum depending on skills and experience
Duties and Responsibilities
The MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL (CTU) is a centre of excellence for clinical trials, meta-analyses and epidemiological studies. The main purpose of the role is to develop and carry out clinical trial methodology research projects with the aim of improving the conduct of clinical trials.
The successful applicant will have extensive experience of working on randomised clinical trials with a track record of research publication; experience of working in multi-disciplinary clinical trial management teams; a thorough understanding of clinical trial methods and the practical issues in trial and/or data management that may impede the successful, timely and cost-effective completion of a clinical trial; a thorough understanding of the practical/regulatory aspects of large-scale, international clinical trials; demonstrably excellent skills in collaborative working; and the skills to design, conduct, analyse and report research studies to effectively address practical questions.
